Crickey

So basically life is crazy. We have a bunch of homework but not much time to do it since you know we are traveling the world. But aside from that I've had some great adventures.

I held a koala, fed a kangaroo, and saw Bindi Irwin sing and dance at the Australian Zoo. Oh and quote of that day came from a croc wrangler. "Shit, I mean crickey." Smooth mate.

My suite had a Australian Valentine's Day dinner with the neighboring girls suite. Come to find out. There is no Australian Valentine's Day. Actually that night was quite a hilarious fail. Afterwards we tried to take pictures with sparklers only for it to monsoon. So, being flexible, we went to play in the rain only for it stop. It was hilariously crazy.

I stalked some other students around Brisbane after they didn't invite us. Took some creeper shots. No worries.

Free Travel starts tomorrow and I am really excited to have a break from work!

Australian Rollercoaster

This has been the most crazy hectic past 2.5 weeks of my life. I have been trying to catch my breath. It has been such a blessing. I have had devotional on the beach starring at the majesty of His waves. I got to see God's creativity tonight with his wonderful glow worms. I am seeing so many cool sights. I have some great friends, a great roommate, a great city. It's just tiring not having any normalcy in my life or not having an old friend who you don't have to build relationship with. I just hope that I don't feel this way for much longer. There's too much to see to worry about these things.

surfing

so I ventured out and surfed the pacific ocean yesterday. There wasn't much going for me because 1. surfing's a sport. I'm not much good at those. 2. the wetsuit isn't exactly comfortable 3. it was raining and the tide was crazy strong. However I enjoyed my time nose diving and riding in waves on my belly. I did stand up for .07 millaseconds. That's something right? So life experience check! I surfed in Australia. Next?

vacation?

We just got back from the freakin Australian rainforrest, Binna Burra. How in the world did this happen? I have been extremely blessed to see all of the wonderful and different parts of God's world. I really do love it here, but I hope and pray that God can use me and this wonderful group of his followers to impact the world we encounter for Him. Not just leave some nice impression for Harding, but witness His love. I don't want this to just be some three month vacation with some pesky classes thrown in. and I'm afraid that's what it is becoming though. Here is my prayer.
Lord,
I pray that you teach us, shape us, and mold us.
Open our eyes to the beauty around us that shows your glory.
Let us love each other and in turn love the world.
Teach us how to use these amazing experiences for your kingdom.
Lord let this trip not be in vain but use it to teach us.
Amen.

10 Things I've Learned in Australia

1. Toasted crumpets with Nutella is the bread of life.
2. The program should be named Harding University Australasia. I saw more foreign Asians than native Australians no lie.
3. Australian money OWNS American money. It's colorful, see through, and they have a two dollar coin. done.
4. There is a strict dress code in Aussieland of only Urban outfitters or fancy suits. EVERYONE looks real hip and fit. It's crazy.
5. Australians like their smokes.
6. Jumping pictures are even more fun abroad.
7. Kangaroo can be quite tasty while crocodile is disgusting.
8. Giant rocks in the desert look steeper than estimated.
9. Impromptu dancing in the Outback is the best way to party.
10. Although there's not much to Australian cuisine, everything they adopt is delicious.

And it begins..

Here I am sitting in the Nashville International Airpot, readying myself for the 43 hour flight to Sydney. This is the most I have ever flown or I'm pretty sure any human has every flown. This is bizarre. The time has come. So Crazy.
